Dr. Used a cheap procedure on my daughter which ended up making the problem worse.
I didn’t personally see this doctor, but my roomate and close personal friend had a very frustrating experience. They felt the care wasn’t effective and that their concerns were dismissed. After seeing another doctor, they had a much better outcome, which made the experience even more disappointing. I’d recommend getting a second opinion.
I had an extremely disappointing experience with this doctor. From the moment I walked in, I felt rushed and dismissed. The wait time was excessive, yet the actual appointment lasted only a few minutes, with little effort made to thoroughly understand my concerns. When I tried to explain my symptoms, I was frequently interrupted and made to feel like my questions were inconvenient. The doctor seemed uninterested and lacked empathy, offering vague explanations and no clear plan for treatment. I left the appointment feeling more confused than reassured. Additionally, the office staff was unhelpful and disorganized, which only added to the frustration. Overall, I would not recommend this practice to anyone looking for attentive, compassionate, and thorough medical care.
The worst doctor I have ever been to. I suffered for years because of his incompetence. I had reflux issues that were making me constantly sick for years. I asked if reflux was the problem and he completely dismissed it. I went to another Dr and they treated it and my 2 years of issues went away in weeks. I also had a balloon sinuplasty. Turns out he used a cheap balloon and now I have to get the procedure done again by a different Dr. she said he used the cheap one that doesn’t fix the issues that I have. He sent me for 4 CT scans and suggested I get deviated septum surgery. Which would not have fixed my issues. All in all he took years off of my life and made me suffer for so long and this is not including all the money I paid for all of these BS things. He is completely incompetent and deserves to retire in disgrace.
I am a 67 year old man who is not in very good physical shape. I was walking down the street with my wife when I suddenly almost fell over from dizziness and vertigo. I immediately developed unilateral tinnitus (ringing in one ear only) and felt so nauseous I thought I might vomit any minute. I was 6 blocks from home but was so incapacitated I considered calling an Uber to get home. I went to consult with Dr. Volpi who I chose because his office was conveniently located and his ratings were decent. No vital signs were checked, specifically blood pressure, heart rate or temperature. After a physical exam which lasted about 2 minutes in total I was not given a diagnosis nor even a likely diagnosis and was told to come back in a month, an arbitrary period of time because as he himself stated sometimes the symptoms last many months or are permanent. He steadfastly refused to give me a prescription for an MRI, a scan that could have ruled out serious causes such as neuroma, a vascular event or even a tumor and could even detect inflammation or fluid, if present. His excuse - if everyone with your symptoms were given MRIs there wouldn’t be any available machines left for other people to use - a ridiculous statement. He would not prescribe any medications for symptom relief. These symptoms are often due to a viral infection of the labyrinth behind the eardrum although the sudden onset of symptoms in my case seem to rule out a gradually progressing infection. I asked him to treat me with an antiviral drug to see if my symptoms improve and he refused due to “the serious side effects of antiviral drugs”. There are antiviral drugs with minor side effects by the way and after taking a course of medication any improvement would indicate that it probably was viral infection nature. No improvement would have at least allowed us to rule out a viral infection. He referred me to an ENT who apparently only deals with inner ear conditions. I am concerned that I will have the same awful experience again. I will call first to determine if an MRI might be prescribed. If not, I will not waste my time, effort and money on this referral. My next stop will be the ER where I will probably wait all day due to triage but given my age, poor health and the sudden onset of symptoms maybe they will feel an MRI is absolutely important diagnostically to rule out anything serious. Dr. Volpi may be qualified to clean out a build up of ear wax, if this is your issue. Otherwise avoid him at all costs.
I had an emergency issue with my hearing and was able to get into Dr. Volpi office on the same day. He was able to fix my ear issue immediately. I left feeling 100 percent better. He was amazing and his staff at the office were also great! Highly recommend this doctor and team!
I had my septum worked on by Dr Volpi. The experience from first appointment to being totally healed was truly remarkable. He is held in such high esteem at the Hospital and I was treated like royalty there. The healing process took half the time as I thought and it hardly bled and never hurt. He is truly a master of his craft. 10000/10. Truly a wonderful doctor and experience.
